About Transport for Britain

This website proposes a new solution to public transport. National travel in the UK is either too expensive on a train or too rubbish on a coach. The purpose of this solution is to provide a service that people would actually like to use. Below displays 12 routes which link Britain's main cities using the SRN. The transport system is made up of double decker buses driving down the motor way and stopping every 20 or so miles at services, cities and interchanges.

Why this is better than what we already have: The buses rarely strays more than 5 minutes from the SRN. This results in massive reductions in travel time for national transportation.

Problems with this solution: Stopping on the SRN, Getting to the stops and an inflexibility once on a route.

Solutions to these problems: To stop, make use of already available service stations and park n ride infrastructure. Getting to these stops can be handled by local transport infrastructure. Inflexibility is handled by interchanges where routes cross over.
